We finally have some growth, although he is still a teeny 8lb 8oz (Still smaller than Dylan was at birth). Finn still fits in newborn or up to 1 month clothing and the smallest nappies we can get. People often comment on how alert he looks as his size is misleading.
Finn has definitely got the hang of day and night, and he goes into a deeper night sleep around 8pm, waking for the day at around 8am.. He hasn't worked out that we prefer him to take most of his meals in the day though, and wakes every 2-3 hours for milk throughout the night. He is sleeping in his Snuzpod for part of the night, but inevitably ends up in our bed too for some of it.
Finn is still in that magical fourth trimester as he adapts from being in the womb to the outside world, and it means he is happiest when he is warm and held tight. I often have him in the sling around the house, as whilst he likes his bouncer and basket, he doesn't last long before he wants my comfort again.
Finn is getting bigger and stronger everyday, and it is amazing watching him develop. These past 8 weeks have been so long in so many ways, but I am enjoying these newborn days so much still.
Oh he does look like a teeny little doll, Becky... so so cute. Glad to hear that things are starting to settle down a bit now, he's definitely had a dramatic first couple of months. x
ReplyDeleteHe looks so cute. Makes me wish for another to bundle up. I'm glad he's settling in and he sounds like a real mummy's boy already.
ReplyDeleteAww so adorable and so small. I love the outfit. :-) x
