While I don't pretend to know what I am doing, I love recording their childhoods and I see their beauty in each and every picture of them. I have been relying on my trusty camera phone until now though, but this week I took the plunge and invested in a DSLR - a 'proper' camera.
I am pretty sure that I will be using it in Auto settings for quite some time, but I am really enjoying having a play around and hopefully you will see my photography improve over the coming months.
How exciting, have fun with your new toy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I am loving playing with it!
DeleteOoooo a new toy! How wonderful! I still remember the first pictures I took with my DSLR - I'd been trying to take a good picture of my Christmas amaryllis for days on the old camera but it kept blowing the red filter. One click with the new one and there it was, exactly as I wanted - such a wonderful and rather relived feeling!
ReplyDeleteIt is so so much better isn't it! I can't believe the difference already between these and my camera phone pictures so I have high hopes!
DeleteOoh it's exciting, have fun with it looking forward to seeing more over the next few months (I'm a little jealous too) x
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting one for ages, but this was bought with birthday money x
DeleteI always love your photos and these are as gorgeous as ever - especially love the second and fourth ones - he's too adorable! Good luck - it's still on my to do list - must move out of auto settings!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! If you can, get a Lightscoop, it's an amazing accessory that acts kind of like an external flash, but is super cheap. I keep it on my camera nearly 100% of the time (it only works indoors with light colored ceilings since it directs the flash upwards).
ReplyDeleteHow exciting. Look forward to seeing and reading more about how you get on.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Camera Day! I still use auto a lot as I am worried about missing the moment. They move so fast! Have fun! x x
ReplyDeleteThey are great pictures! When I was looking into cameras I didn't realise thy DSLR cameras had auto settings so I got a bridge camera cos I didn't think I'd be able to teach myself enough to use a DSLR! Oh well. Love snapping on mine anyway and looking forward to all your pics xxx have fun :)
ReplyDeleteI by no means can give help as I am terrible at taking pictures, I think you have done a gorgeous job, these are very pretty pictures x
