On the outside
My bump is definitely growing and for the first time last week I got asked
how long I had left as opposed to how far gone I was. The answer 27 weeks was clearly not what they were expecting! I have been sent some lovely maternity bits from Crave maternity which is good as I can safely wear maternity clothes without looking silly now. I am still wearing a lot of normal clothes but I do have some lovely summer dresses from my last pregnancy that fit well and I can't resist wearing them.

On the inside
The most exciting development is that I have started to feel those little flutterings for the last few days. About 4 times a day I can feel baby wriggling and kicking inside me and although they are only weak movements I definitely recognise them. It is most noticeable if I eat something sweet and then sit down but I love the little tickles and the reassurance that little squish is wriggling away.
Tiredness is nearly gone although there is still the odd day I spend counting down until bed time from the moment I get up. I still have no cravings as such although my fridge is scarily full of Dairylea dunkers jumbo tubes! Although being symptom free is a blessing I do worry and the movements are so reassuring and have put my mind at rest. I am looking forward to seeing the midwife in a couple of weeks and hearing the heartbeat too.
ha ha, I love that you were asked how long you have left! Last week I stood next to someone who was due the day before me (with her first baby). She had no belly at all and I was the same size as the 6 month pregnant lady standing on my other side. A little embarrassing to say the least. Love your bump. Super cute.
ReplyDeleteI am having the same thing! Different outfits do make me look more pregnant though x

ReplyDeleteHey there bump buddy, yours is coming along nicely too!! I am in full blown maternity clothes now too but I have been rubbish at getting my pregnancy journal updated - must try harder!!
ReplyDeleteI too felt the flutterings very early on, it's amazing I feel privileged to be experiencing it for my third (AND FINAL!) time ;)
It is so reassuring to feel the little wriggles although they are full blown kicks now! Hope you are feeling good still x

ReplyDeleteI am 14 weeks right now, and I am pleased to see someone else has a bump like mine! People always think I'm MUCH further along, and when I say 14 weeks, they are SHOCKED. I love my belly, in spite of all the fuss.
ReplyDeleteIm shocked at that bump size for 14 weeks. Mine wasn't like that until 7 months- just proves how different we all are.
