My Funny Little Boy - February

My little dude is getting funnier by the day, and he knows it.  He says things just to get a reaction throughout the day and nobody finds him funnier than himself!  He also comes out with those silly lines that make me smile, even though he has no idea how cute he is being, and here are a few from the last couple of months:

Me: What do you think Father Christmas may bring you for Christmas?
Dylan: I don't know . . .  An Omlette!!!

I have a kiss for you my darling mummy.

Can we go and see Father Christmas?  He lives with Mickey Mouse in the mountains!

Dylan - 'I am going to bring you toys like Father Christmas brings the boys and girls that are good' - followed by him handing out random toys of his to the three of us.

Mummy I have done a stinky poo, do you need to put your top over your face?

Dylan: Can I have a chocolate please Mummy?
Me: Ok Dylan, you can have one. Pick one and I will unwrap it for you
Dylan: Can I have this one please
Me: yes
Dylan: What's it going to be?
Me: It is going to be a chocolate Dylan
Dylan: Maybe
Me: I think it is!
Dylan: Maybe it is
*I open it*
Dylan: IT'S A CHOCOLATE, WOW!

(bearing in mind this is late January)
Me: What are you going to be when you grow up Dylan?
Dylan: An astronaut
Me: And what do you think Archie is going to be?
Dylan: A Santa

I have a little wee wee coming, and a big one . . . and a huuuuge one.  It will be amazing!

My Funny Little Boy - December

I love recording the little things my babies do and say, and Dylan makes me laugh on a daily basis at 28 months with the funny things he comes out with.  Here are a selection of the last month's funnies as I don't want to forget them!

Lady: Be careful of the baby
Dylan: It's not a baby, it is MY baby (about Archie in soft play)

Look mummy, a gingerbread man!  (see pic below)

Pointing at a random man in the street - (very loudly) look Mummy, it's postman pat!

We are singing wheels on the bus, and Dylan chimes in with a new verse:
"The conductor on the bus goes fart, fart, fart"

We are walking over a bridge and I try to tell him about rivers to which he relies:
'The river can't climb up on the bridge mummy, it's got no feet!'

"I can't sleep in my bed, I need to sleep in a duck pond"

Dylan, what do you want to be when you are a grown up?
"A fire engine, no, a Robot, so I can have robot arms!" (Cue an odd robot dance)

"I need to give Archie a cuddle because I love him."

Me: Shall we sing Archie a song?
Dylan: No
Me: I think he would like a song, what shall we sing him?
Dylan: Nothing
Me: I don't know that one, how does it go?
Dylan: (To the tune of twinkle twinkle) Nufin, nufin, nufin nufin . . . .

D: Mummy, I'm hungry
Me: Would you like a sandwich then?
D: no, I'm not hungry for a sandwich
Me: How about some crunchy peppers?
D: No, I don't think I need some crunchy peppers
Me: Well I am not sure what you can have then Dylan
D: I am hungry for some pudding, maybe some of Daddy's chocolate?

"I did a burp!"
Are you sure that was a burp Dylan?
"Yes, it was a burp from my bottom!"

That's not baby Jesus, it's baby Archie! (About the baby in a manger in our nativity)

Stop doing that with your food please
*keeps doing it and giggles*
Dylan, it's not funny, stop doing it please
Dylan: "It is a little bit funny though!"

My Funny Little Boy - November

As Dylan is now at that amazing age where he is curious about anything and everything, asking questions and quite often chatting nonsense, I am determined to capture the funnies as I just know he will love me for it when he is 18!  I told you about September's funnies, but here are some of the latest;

Mummy, why are you not wearing your willy?
Where's your willy gone Mummy?  You not got it on today!
(He is convinced that we 'wear' our body parts at the moment)

I am cooking fish and pirate ships for dinner

Daddy:  What did you do today Dylan?
Dylan:  We went on a yellow train
Daddy: Where did you go to?
Dylan:  Austray la la
(A bit of a recurring thing is his love for Australia, considering we have never been!)

After feeding my pretend cakes, strawberries and blueberries for 20 minutes . . .
Mummy: I am so full of pudding, I think I need some dinner now Dylan
Dylan: I made omlette for dinner.   I put it in the bin.  It's dirty now.  Can't eat it.  More pudding?

Dylan can you give Archie a kiss nun night?
Dylan: No mummy, I am TOO busy, TOO busy playing toys for kisses

and my favourite so far:

Uncle Oli:  And this is a parrot
Dylan:  What does the parrot say?
Uncle Oli: (squaking) Whose a pretty boy then
Dylan: Dylan is! But what does the parrot say?
Repeat several times until Uncle Oli gives up

Have your toddlers been spouting funnies this month too?
