Helly Hansen Ski Wear Review

This winter marked our first skiing trip and we were very lucky to be provided with some lovely ski jackets and thermals from the guys at Helly Hansen.  Helly Hansen is one of the biggest names in the outdoor clothing industry and is synonymous with quality.  Not only do their jackets look bright and on trend, they also feel well made with top of the range materials and all the technology you want for the slopes.

My jacket was a bright light blue, with a yellow and white trim and I fell in love with it straight away. It was well fitted with just enough space for my layers underneath and the vented back let the air flow, keeping you cool when needed.  The huge hood fitted over my helmet which came in very useful when we were at the top of the mountain with the snow falling all around us and I loved the fur trim.

The bloke's was red, with navy and bright blue highlights and he definitely stood out on the mountain.  Both jackets had under arm air vents, although the blokes was much longer, and they were both covered in pockets, which was perfect for all the essentials.  Our left sleeves had a designated space for our lift passes and this was very handy.

When we fell (and believe me the bloke fully tested this), the jackets were protective enough to cushion us and keep us dry and the handy sleeves meant that the arms didn't ride up.

We really loved the jackets, they are strong, durable, warm and functional and hopefully we didn't look quite as much like the nervous beginners we were in our gorgeous jackets.

My jacket was called the Panorama jacket, this is what Helly Hansen has to say about it:
