What the Boys Wore - Boots Mini Club

Whilst I now buy most of the boys' wardrobe online, I love finding great clothes on the high street, and Boots Mini Club is one of my favourite places to go.  I discovered their baby range when I was trying to find a new baby present for a friend's little girl - she had specified no pink and it turns out that baby girl clothes come almost exclusively in that colour.  Boots baby range is colourful and fun whilst being comfortable and practical too.

Finn now has several of their summer rompers, as they are only £6 each and come in bright prints perfect for summer days.  There is no pastel blue, but there are frogs, dinosaurs, airplanes and all sorts. (In the little video before he is wearing one of my favourites - the rainbow stripes)

For the elder boys, the clothes are still practical and bright, and I chose them each a T-shirt from the basics range (£6 each).  Dylan's was bright yellow with an octopus on the front and striped on the back, and it is perfect for the beach.  Archie's blue and white stripes are slightly nautical, with a fun lobster brightening it.  I like that whilst the T-shirts are very different, there are little things that tie them together - the yellow trim that matches the T-shirt shade and the sea creatures.  Both are wearing denim shorts (£11 each), with an elasticated waistband and turn ups.  These may look like denim, but they are the softest cotton, and incredibly practical for two adventurous boys - there is no stiffness, and they can run and climb easily in them.

I have found that Boots clothes do shrink in the first wash, so we need to size up for the boys.  Their baby range is incredibly generous in the newborn size, but not so much after that - we seem to be almost skipping the 0-3 size as it isn't much bigger than the newborn.

To try and show you how practical we have found these clothes, I took some snippets of video on an average day so you can see them in action.  Video is pretty new to me, but you can see the fit, the stretch and the style much easier this way I hope!

  2. Great review and has reminded me to pop to my local Boots and see what's there! I love the video, Bex; focusing on the boys and their perspective worked really well, especially with such a gorgeous background as the beach.

  4. None of my local Boots have a clothes section so I tend to have to travel into Central London, that said, they are always great quality x

  9. I haven't shopped for clothes at Boots since my littlies were babies, but I've fallen in love with your boys outfits and as my Little Man is only four...I'm going have to get him a new outfit! Oh and your video made me want to go to the beach...like right now! Why do I have to live in the Mildands :(
