A Week at Home

It has now been a week since we brought our little guy home from hospital, a week of adjusting to life as a five, of learning the best way to get everyone up, fed and dressed in the morning, and how to settle everyone at night as practically as possible.  Going from two to three children feels like a much bigger jump than from one to two and I am far from organised, but I know we will get there.

This week I have learnt the true value of Peppa Pig - I am not sure I would be able to leave the house every morning without her occupying the biggest two whilst I feed the baby and get dressed.

I have discovered that I can make any meal healthy and balanced by adding some tinned sweetcorn on the side (well I have convinced myself anyway)

I have learnt that life is much easier with a sling, and pretty much impossible without one.  Finn is happy and I can get things done (just about)

It has become pretty clear that despite having a pinterest board full of newborn pictures I wanted to take, none are likely to happen with three children around, and specifically one who doesn't want to be put down!

I knew life was going to be busy with three under four and I was not disappointed - there are times I get stressed, I am nearly always (ok, always) late and there is usually something forgotten, but there are moments of calm, there are so many cuddles and I have three beautiful boys to enjoy the crazy with.

  1. Aww, just look at him. I can't imagine how tricky it must be with three to keep them all occupied or actually leave the house. But the hugs and kisses must make up for it xx

  3. He is just beautiful! He looks like a combination of both Dylan and Archie, but also manages to seem unique, if that makes sense!
