What the Kids Wore - Duns Puffins

Life with 4 is busy but I am not letting being completely and utterly outnumbered stop us from getting out.  I find myself doing head counts quite regularly and I am really appreciating the benefits of bright clothes and dressing the boys in matching.

When this Puffin print came out from one of my favourite kids clothing brands, Duns Sweden, I knew I needed something for one of the boys but the fact that the print comes in three different colours and so many different items means I couldn't resist ordering for all four of the children.

Dylan has a t-shirt in blue and Archie in yellow.  Finn has a summer romper suit in the same blue and I chose a footless sleepsuit for Cora in white and orange.  Their older child sizing is really generous and I did the super geeky thing of ordering a dress in a child's age 13 which seems to be roughly an adult size 10.

I love how unisex all these items are, the bright colours that stand out in a busy park and the wonderfully soft organic cotton.

I ended up ordering from several retailers in order to find all the items I wanted in the right sizes - Funky Little People, Uni and Jack, Heimoose and JuicyTots

It won't be long until they refuse to wear matching but for now it makes days out easier and they just look so sweet together!  There will be no questioning that they are all mine anyway.

What the Boys Wore - Maxomorra Spring'16

Back when Archie was a new baby, over three years ago I discovered Maxomorra and I have never looked back.  Their designs are bright, fun and childish, their clothing organic and soft and pretty importantly, they make clothes my children want to wear.

The Swedish brand release several drops per year, each with six brightly coloured prints and we were sent a couple of pieces from each of the spring drops.  I have lots of matchy bits for the boys, but nothing at all for Finn and Dylan and Dylan loved co-ordinating with his baby brother.

maxomorra viking, maxomorra ss16, maxomorra dungarees

From the first drop we were sent these vikings - a huge hit with my big boy whose favourite film at the moment is  'How to train your dragon'.  He loved the print and the hoodie is super soft and comfy.  I can't resist stretchy dungarees so Finn's pair were love at first sight.  The colours really suit him and the fabric and cut make these really practical for my crawling, cruising, sleeping little guy.

maxomorra raglan, maxomorra spaceman print, four year old maxomorra

From the second drop we were sent this Spaceman print which is possibly my favourite.  The blue is really fresh and bright and the characters are cute, yet still cool enough for a bigger child.  Dylan has lots of raglan sleeved tops as I think they really suit him and Finn's trousers are super stretchy, cloth bum friendly and have turn down cuffs making them last a bit longer.  Dylan climbed into Finn's cot after his morning nap to read books with him and they looked so sweet in their matching print.  I love how this spans the ages - something we struggle to find on the highstreet - and it looks perfect for a baby and a bigger boy.

Maxomorra, maxomorra spaceman, astronaut, siblings maxomorra

I find the quality of Maxomorra is great, we have quite a collection and the colours are remaining vibrant and the clothing keeping its shape really well.   I have bought several other items from both these drops (Finn NEEDED more dungarees!) and I can't wait to see what they bring out for summer.

Maxomorra are sold through several independent retailers, here are some of our favourites that we regularly buy from:

What the Boys Wore - Me and I

I first discovered the Swedish brand Me & I at a Baby Show when Dylan was small.  I had a chunky baby who wore cloth nappies and their clothes were perfectly designed for him, with a generous fit, long bodied vest and some brilliant prints.  We still have those first items I bought and they will be worn by their third child this winter.  Everything lasted so well that it is one of the few brands I know I can pass down through all three boys and Finn will still look great in.

We have bought much more Me & I since then and were recently sent this beautiful vest and dungaree combo for Finn.  I just love the colours (I can't resist anything yellow) and the print is so unisex and childish that I know it will be easy to find a new home for once it is outgrown.  The quality is superb and after several washes this is still looking as bright as ever.

The fit for the dungarees is wide and even the chunkiest tot will fit comfortably.  Finn is certainly filling out now and I love the relaxed look on him as they seem to hang just right.  The cuffs at the bottom of the legs mean it doesn't matter if they are a bit long and the vest is printed on the inside of the cuff so you can roll the sleeves (like I have in these pictures) and they still have apples all the way down.

Me and I consists of an organic baby collection, unisex kids clothing up to the age 12 and then a seperate section for women's clothing too.  The prices reflect the quality, individuality and are at the top end of what I would pay for my children.  It is knowing how well they last, that we have clothes that are on their third child and still looking as good as new that makes me keep going back to them.
At the moment Me&I is sold through sales representatives that can offer parties or personal orders, but they are looking to make a UK webshop in the new year.  You can find all the details on how to host a party or find you local representative on the website under the 'how to shop' section

What the Boys Wore - Smafolk

Kids clothes should be fun, comfortable, playful and soft.  Smafolk captures this perfectly with their range of colourful oekotex childrenswear.  Their signature apple print comes in different colours and styles and they release a new collection every few months.

Smafolk are a brand we know well and I was really excited to see what they would send me for the boys.  The brown and blue theme they chose meant the boys looked fantastic together, and the range is designed so that you can mix and match styles to create different looks.

Molo at Melijoe

You may have noticed that I have a bit of a love with scandinavian clothes and Molo create stunning photo print designs as well as some more simple pieces.  They don't come cheap, but they are sure to stand out, and the quality is superb.  All three of my boys have some Molo in their wardrobe, and I thought I would share some of my favourite pieces from the current autumn winter collection.

In fact, we have three out of these six already.  I love the simple star top with the sleeping animal trousers and watch this space as Finn has these ready to grow into.

Archie has the star jumper top centre and the simplicity combined with the quality make it perfect for the coming season.

I love the bird print at the bottom with the little pops of colour, and I would love the space themed ski jacket for one of the boys this coming winter - I can imagine it on Dylan.  The cars blanket is so different, and I know that all three of mine would love it.  Not only does it look cosy for Finn, but it is a great talking point for all three, discussing their favourites - bound to brighten up any buggy this winter!
