Teatime Picnics

Summer is all about picnics, and we use any excuse.  We often take our lunch down to the park at the end of our road and day trips are usually accompanied by scotch eggs and strawberries.  Whilst the evenings are still light, we have been having a few teatime picnics too, grabbing our blanket and sandwiches and heading to the beach or a park.

This weekend the boys had a late nap, so it seemed the perfect excuse to head out late.  It wasn't sunny, but it wasn't too cold either and so the park was deserted.  I am loving our new Huggies style on the go pouch,  it is perfect to pop on the buggy or hang from a bag and makes the wipes easy to access - something very important with messy eaters like mine! I even hung it from the sling when we went exploring afterwards as I knew that the mud and sand would end up everywhere!

The refill packs for these reusable pouches are made with natural absorbent fibres, and are free from nasties like parabens, phenoxyethanol, alcohol and perfume.  I can use them on the big two as well as the baby and I don't have to go rooting through my bag any more to find them.

I took home four worn out boys, empty packing and crumbs.  Hopefully we can fit in a few more teatime picnics before school begins and the night starts earlier.

Huggies and Fearne Cotton

You may have noticed that I am working with Huggies wipes as a brand ambassador this year, but the exciting news is that they have recently appointed one extra member of the team - Fearne Cotton!

She is helping to launch the new 'on the go' pouches that we have been finding so useful (and will be sharing all about them in a seperate post) and just like us, Fearne has those SOS moments (which seem to occur far too often when you have a baby with reflux) where you need a wet wipe within reach.

My Pampered Baby

Finn was born a blogger's child, and that comes with responsibilities.  He didn't seem to mind too much having to visit a baby spa though, in fact he seemed completely in his element.

Picture fresh white walls, a feeling of calm as soon as you step through the door, relaxing music and a warm welcome from Laura Sevenus, the owner and an infant swimming expert.  The Baby Spa is the kind of place you can picture celebrities and is located in an exclusive Kensington postcode.

Finn seemed to feel at home as soon as we arrived, and he certainly took well to life as a pampered baby.  Having three under fours, I am not allowed to take the boys swimming on my own, so this was Finn's first time in water other than the bath, and the Bubby was unlike anything I have seen before.  A patented floatation device that looks like a donut around their neck, it allows babies to float and stretch out whilst remaining safe.  I have a baby with a very ticklish neck, so putting it on wasn't so easy, but I could see his body relax as soon as he slid into the water, and he floated around looked relaxed and content.

The Huggies Wipes Challenge

With three small children, we get through a lot of wipes, so we were delighted when Huggies asked us to be ambassadors for their new style wipes.  Not only will you find them in the changing bag and nappy unit, wipes are an essential in every room of our house.  From wiping bums, sticky fingers and faces to cleaning the coffee table (it is just too easy to use a wipe!) we use our Huggies wipes for so many different things.

We love the pure for Finn's delicate newborn skin and the natural care for cleaning up the impressive messes that Archie manages to create.  Huggies are asking you to challenge your wipes, and you can get a free packet just by registering here.  If you take a snap of your messy tot, whether it be rosy red chops from spaghetti bolognese or the inevitable ice cream everywhere on a sunny day, you can be in with a chance of winning one of these amazing prizes:

£500 in Asda vouchers,
A Disney hamper or
A year's supply of wipes.

I feel like it would be unfair to enter myself as I know these mucky pups are winners for sure
