What the Kids Wore // Little Green Radicals

Both the little two have shot up in the past year, far more than the average amount and very little from last summer is going to fit. Little Green Radicals send us a few pieces from their stunning new collection though and I think they are going to be summer staples. I have loved LGR for years now and have bought so much so they are a great brand to work with! Not only is their clothing organic, it is also fairtrade and designed with childhood in mind.

Finn's shorts look so smart but they are soft jersey cotton and so comfy. I love the little red button on the back pocket and how they will go with so much.  His t-shirt is covered in colourful lion faces and is one of his favourites. Cora's leggings are the perfect shade of yellow which means they are back on almost as soon as they are out the washing machine and I love how floaty and light her top is.  At the bottom of this post you will find a wonderful summer beach dress too which is so beautiful in real life.

I wanted to take photos in this field as I took them in the same place last year when I worked with Little Green Radicals and I think they show the stunning colours - I can't believe how much they have grown! As always I have too many photos but I think they help show how the clothing really looks, how it moves and how comfy they find it.  Finn is an average height 4 year old and I went for 4-5 shorts and 5-6 in top as we prefer them bigger.  Cora is a petite 2 year old (34 months here) wearing 2-3. I often buy a size bigger than what they usually wear for the tops and dresses and the correct size for bottoms.

And here is the stunning frill dress which I am tempted to buy in a bigger size for next year too!

We were sent these items for the purpose of this blog post but all thoughts and opinions are my own and we have genuinely been buying this brand for many years.

What the Kids Wore - Raspberry Republic

Although it is still very much jumper weather, I am getting excited for summer and starting to buy bright clothes ready for the beach.  The new Raspberry Republic collection is full of colour and I love the funky designs, as do the children.  As soon as Dylan spotted Finn's t-shirt with rollerskating papayas he asked if I could get him one the same and Cora and I had great fun spotting the pink dolphins on her Samba skirt.  The collection is called Viva Brasil and is available at Little Footprint .

We had a little trying on session followed by a balloon game and I took a few photos of the clothes in action - full on bouncing, spinning, falling over, mid giggle action.  The t-shirt has plenty of growing room (this is age 5-7 on Finn who is 4) and the samba set is age 2-3 on a petite nearly 3 year old.  I love the outfit for the beach but the skirt is great for now with a long sleeved top and tights as well (see the last couple of pictures).  We were sent these items from Raspberry Republic but I have already bought some of the new collection as I love these bright colours on Finn especially and they are so much fun for the summer.  Everything is made from organic cotton and is super soft as well as holding the colour well (we have bought past season bits that we love too).  If you want outrageously fun designs which are like nothing you have seen before then check out Raspberry Republic!

What the Kids Wore // XO Kiddo

I love finding new brands to buy for my children and I was really excited to discover XO Kiddo, a London based label from designer Rona which combines bright colours and bold designs with the softest organic cotton.  I mostly buy organic clothes for the children as I love knowing that there are no chemicals next to their skin.  Rona's brand is trying to be as eco-friendly as possible though, aiming to work with factories powered by solar panels who use minimal plastic and recycle.

I was sent an outfit for Archie, Finn and Cora as the brand caters for children aged 1 - 5 at the moment (with hopes to go larger very soon).  I love how unisex all the styles and shapes are and the bright orange was such a gorgeous colour.  All the items are easy to wear, light and super super soft.

Archie's top is such a stunning colour and we love the love heart detail.  Whilst hearts are usually only found in the 'girls' section, I think he absolutely rocks this and he loved the top.  The trousers have a dropped crotch which he wasn't used to but after 5 minutes he loved the freedom and was totally converted.  We ended up down the beach and they were easy to roll up, although everything got completely soaked still!

Finn's top looks great and got so many compliments.  The shorts are exactly what we needed - light, simple and comfy and I know they will be a staple in his summer wardrobe.  I think the top is playful and edgy and perfect for Finn.

Cora's jumpsuit was so simple and so stunning, but unfortunately she is a little on the short side and I think it might fit better in a few months.  There is a popper opening down the front and the cuffs are easy to roll up to suit different weather.  I think the sizing is pretty true, although this romper is more of an 18-24 that a 12-18 (the size is a 1-2 years).  The boys are both wearing their normal size and the fit is perfect.

I love how well the whole collection goes together and you can mix and match to get some great combos for boys and girls.  XO Kiddo is celebrating their first birthday at the moment and they have a fantastic offer on where you can get a free pair of socks with any order over £20!

I am going to let the pictures do the talking for the rest of the post .  .   .
