Reasons to be Cheerful

Thursdays always make me realise how fast the week has gone!  This week has been much less cheerful due to a poorly little baby and a lot of projectile vomiting, but my glass is still half full.  Here are this weeks reasons to be cheerful.

1) A wonderful parcel came through the post from my lovely friend Abbey who emigrated to Australia in August.  A parcel full of sugary goodness.  I have been craving Timtams since I got home from travelling three years ago and finally this desire is being fulfilled.

2) I love winning competitions no matter how big or small and my Holdens Landing nappy came through this week, it is lush!  I can't wait for the summer when I can show all his pretty nappies off!

3) Speaking of summer, the weather this week has been beautiful.  Flip flops are a permanant feature and coats have been banished until next December.  I refuse to go back to winter now (also refusing to read weather forecast to keep up the illusion that summer is in fact here).

4) After nearly two years of blonde my hair got a bit more fun.  I have never been one to keep a hair colour for longer than a week, and when I found out that I was pregnant, I thought it had come to an end.  The sensible mummy image I had tried so hard to maintain has gone and colour is in.  I have only dyed the underside of my hair, but it feels like I have a bit more of 'me' back and I love it!

Why have you been cheerful this week?

    1. If you try a timtam make sure to do the tim tam slam - bite opposing corners off and drink your tea through it. It is the only way to eat them!

  2. love the pink hair, looks really good on you, I don't think being a Mummy requires 24/7 sensibleness, actually I'm not sure that is compatible with small children at all!

    1. I'm pretty sure the sensible hair was the only sensible part of me! Dylan doesn't seem too bothered though, he is happy to pull it whatever colour it is!

  7. TimTams!! I am an Aussie living in Helsinki, and I have to admit, I miss them. What's not to love about a triple-chocolate biscuit, after all? I'm thrilled to hear that someone taught you the Tim Tam Slam - it really is quite an experience. ENJOY!
