What the Kids Wore // Nununu

Ed and I met at a rock music festival and we seem to have passed on the love of music, metal and dancing to the children.  Archie asks for heavy metal as soon as we get in the car and Finn and Cora will dance to just about anything.  I love Nununu clothing as it reminds me of Ed and I when we first met.  Their summer range is fun, playful, minimalist and perfect to rock out in.

I took these photos on the way to the beach earlier in the week and they make me think of what is to come in the teenage years.  Cora's potential boyfriends or girlfriends will have three big brothers to convince and I think they are going to be pretty protective of her!  They already call her their princess (A term I really don't like and never use) and this black dress is the perfect princess dress for this little fierce girl of mine.  The inside is soft and comfortable and the netting makes it super fun and girly.

Archie is a big fan of having his letter on a t-shirt and this vest is perfect for the summer and with a big A on the front, you can't go wrong! The shorts are comfy and cool and will be perfect for protecting his knees if he learns to skateboard this summer (He is desperate to learn)

And Finn's long shorts remind me so much of the boys in my teenage years.  They have a slightly distressed look and I think he looks awesome in them! I tried to convince the boys to stand the other way round in the photos so it read A to Z but these children know their own mind and were having none of it! I love the way they came out though, these determined little individuals, full of character and rocking their Nununu clothes.

Finn Wears 3-4 (his normal size), Archie is in 4-5 (he is usually in 5-6) and Cora is in 12-18 months (her usual size) and we find this dress quite slim fitting.  I find their sizing pretty true and their clothes are really hardwearing. We already have a lot of Nununu in their wardrobes and love how well it wears and how versatile it is.

What the Boys Wore // Nununu

Now that Cora is easier to leave, I have started getting more time with just my big two babies.  I know Dylan loves having time just him and I, Archie is very much lost without his brother and if I suggest we do something just us, he asks whether Dylan can come too.  We have been going on a few little adventures and it is so nice not having a pushchair or a toddler to chase after and being able to enjoy their company.  Last weekend we visited a local theme park and the boys wore their new trousers from Nununu.

Archie much prefers leggings when given the choice and I chose these skull print ones for him as I knew he would love them.  They look comfy and they are definitely his new favourites.  The print and style of these is great for slightly older children and I think they look great on him at nearly 5.  Dylan's trousers are more of a harem jogger with slim legs.  They look comfy and stylish and match with so much (including his Nununu top).

Margate is covered in bright graffiti, the perfect place for getting some 'cool' shots if these two didn't decide to poke their tongue out in pretty much every one! I think these clothes really match their personalities well and I love how stylish and fun the Nununu collection is from ninja hoodies (which Archie would LOVE) to statement shapes and classic black, grey and pink shades.  I have found the sizing pretty true and both children are wearing the right size for their age here.

I am really enjoying these days out with my big boys, doing all the things that they miss out on  normally because of the little ones and exploring new places.  We have more adventures planned in the lead up to Christmas and I am hoping to make it a regular thing having a Mummy day with my big pair.

What the Kids Wore // Nununu

Ed and I met at a rock festival many years ago and we both share a love for music and heavy metal which the children seem to have inherited.  We don't have any of the Disney tunes playing on car journeys, the boys ask for rock and roll or metal tunes to dance along to on the back seat.  They know their minds and they are starting to know their style, taking more interest in what they wear and what I buy.

Nununu is a minimalist kids clothing brand who believe that children are blank slates and that simple clothes can let them be more creative.  I chose a piece from their collection for each of the children - t-shirts for the older two, harem joggers for Finn and an all in one romper for Cora.  Each item was simple and shared their basic black, grey and white colour pallet, although the small two have the softest powder pink too.

The boys love their 'cool' tops, the familiar skull that they see emblazoned on pirate flags and the simple colours were a big hit and it meant we could easily add colour to the outfit with brighter shorts if we wish.  Nununu make clothes that appeal to the parents too and I can imagine Ed in one of the tees.

I on the other hand would love a bigger version of Finn's trousers.  They look so comfortable, are super soft and they are perfect for running, climbing and exploring in.  The pink is so pale and so unisex, especially pared with a plain black t-shirt and I loved adding this subtle colour to Finn's wardrobe.  The harems are so light weight and perfect for summer and match with Cora's romper.

Cora's romper is again light and soft and so practical for a crawling, cruising baby.  We sized up and it fits really well but does come down to her ankles when she is stood up so she should get a lot of wear from it!  We went for their normal size with everything else and found the sizing quite accurate.

The clothing we received from Nununu are great quality, comfortable and stylish and I think these are going to be summer staples for them all.  They look edgy, fun but still childish and everything can be passed down to the next child as the younger two's bits especially are very unisex.

You can buy Nununu direct from their website and they do clothing from babies up to adults with a brilliant 'shadows' section for 8 - 14 year olds.
