FunPod- Competition and Review

Do you have a child that loves to help out in the kitchen?  Do you want to teach them about food and nutrition from an early age?  If so the Funpod is for you.  Designed for children aged 1-6 (Although I have put Dylan in it from 10 months) it is designed to get children involved in the kitchen whilst keeping them safe.  An enclosed box with several different heights, they can stand up at the counter and there are no worries that they will fall off a step of start exploring the other cupboards.

FunPod, children in the kitchen, child safety in the kitchen

We were sent a FunPod to review and although Dylan is technically too young, being a tall boy and steady on his feet it was a life saver.  When he decides he is hungry- that is it.  You have a matter of seconds to fetch his dinner or the sirens go off.  Popping him in the FunPod has meant
he can safely be in the kitchen with me, making it much easier to prepare him a meal.  He can watch what I am doing and gets a lot less impatient!

FunPod, little helperWhen it arrived, I decided I didn't need a man's help and I would build it myself.  Turns out it was so easy and I had made it in minutes!  Simple instructions and easy build mean it only takes one and it can be assembled and disassembled with ease for storage and transport.  There are several different heights available but we had it on the shortest for Dylan as he is only little(ish).

I think it would be perfect for an older child who is able to help out, and will help them get interested in cooking from an early age.  For children that love to bake cakes and ice biscuits, and those that are clingy and need to be with mummy as she cooks dinner, it provides a safe and convenient way to do this.

Unfortunately our kitchen is tiny and therefore having the FunPod in there permanently is not an option.  We keep it just outside the room and move it in when we are using it.  The FunPod is very compact though so doesn't take up much space and has handy handles for moving it.  We love using it and Dylan loves getting involved

They say:

Heralded as socially responsible by local PCTs, a leading obesity expert and health professionals and very much a product of the more socially-responsible parent, our inaugural product, the FunPod is proving a big hit with foodies.

The FunPod which is a safety device to get toddlers aged 1-6 into the kitchen to help, play and learn all about food and nutrition. It gives mum/dad/grandparents time to prepare a healthy meal as they simultaneously keep an eye on their tots whilst educating and getting them involved.  Heralded as Socially responsible for encouraging a better food education, the FunPod is a favourite of Professor Paul Gately’s (of Too Fat to Toddle TV fame) and the government and local PCTs.

The FunPod retails at £117.99 nationwide including Tesco Direct, Boots.com, Kiddicare, Amazon and Mothercare.

I am lucky enough to be able to offer one of these fantastic FunPods to one of my readers.  Entry is simple, just follow the rafflecopter instructions below!  Good Luck!

  4. I would love to have a FunPod! My daughter is constantly dragging the kitchen chair to the sink to do the washing up or to the counters to see what is going on. This would be far safer for her and I know she would love it as no one else in the household can use it!!

Rosie would love this, she's only 16 months old and loves sitting in her highchair mixing cupcake toppings in a little bowl.
