Baby Safe Homes Review

Finding a man who does things when he says he will is a challenge, and one I had failed in until recently.  I am forever asking the bloke to  take out his dinner plates, or finish the washing up, and the usual answer is 'in a minute' or something similar.  The situation ends in me eventually giving in and doing it myself.

Recently we have been discussing baby-proofing the house, as our 8 month old pickle is rolling all over the place, and it won't be long before he realises he can get around faster on hands and knees.  I was dreading how long it would take the bloke to get round to putting up a stair gate, so when I was approached and asked if I would like Baby Safe Homes to sort the house out, I was delighted!

Chris Jones, the director of BabySafe Homes advises that it its best to stay one step ahead, and start baby-proofing when your child looks ready to crawl.  This gives you time to get used to the equipment before you have to really put it in play.  Statistics show that there are over 500,000 visits from under 5s to A&E every year, and baby proofing is a simple way to reduce that.

The brilliance of BabySafe homes, is that they can do everything in one day.  Chris arrived about 9am, and by lunch time my house was ready for troublesome toddlers.  They carry out an initial survey and let you know what they would advise doing to make your home safe.  They then proceed to carry out all the procedures that you want.  No waiting for someone to get round to it, no waiting in for deliveries that don't come when they are meant to, no dragging baby round home-wear shops trying to find the right sized stair gate.  Everything is done while you sit and enjoy a cup of tea.

As well as the obvious stair-gates and cupboard clips, Chris attatched our flat screen TV to the unit.  This was something I would never have thought of doing, but over 2,000 accidents a year for 0-4 year olds are caused by TV's, and should Dylan decide he would like to get a little closer to Special Agent OSO, a TV falling on him would be very painful!

Not only did Chris install equipment and protection, he also gave some great advice on things that should be moved, and turned off to help keep the baby safe. Having an active toddler himself he is only too aware of how inquisitive and quite franky, destructive they can be. The service was fantastic and I am now ready to embrace the toddler years equipped with corner softeners, wall brackets and the genius stair-gates blocking off my chocolate supply from prying hands.

To find out more about this fantastic service, visit www.babysafehomes.co.uk or call 0207 559 1491  There is an installation charge for the fitting and you pay for the equipment that you choose, which come at very competitive prices.  It is of course cheaper to do it yourself, but if, like me, you have an expert in procrastination for a partner, Babysafe homes provide a great and extremely convenient service with a smile.       Your child's safety is never worth compromising.

Whoever invented stair-gates was a very clever person!

I received this service and products free of charge for the purpose of this review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
